  • Berlin’s DJ Pete will make his debut performance for Glasgow club night Off The Record this Saturday. The night will take place at the Soundhaus, which for those in the know, is hidden away between the River Clyde and Glasgow's West End. You'll need to trek out under the M8 motorway just to reach the subterranean venue, where a unique warehouse-style venue awaits. Tonight's headliner DJ Pete also releases under the name Substance, and makes up half of Scion alongside René Löwe (AKA Vainqueur), who together were responsible for the first ever release on Basic Channel. The term 'genre-blurring' would do well to describe one of Pete's energetic vinyl-only sets, mixing up the finest in techno, Chicago house, dubstep and whatever else he's thrown in his record box this week. Off The Record provide support and are comprised of founder Ronin and the three-man techno collective Animal Farm, who have attracted such diverse guests as Mark-Henning, Mike Huckaby and Switch in their colourful eight-year history.
