Cécille will issue its debut compilation next month, entitled From Frankfurt to Mannheim.

International house heads no doubt know of Cécille: Home to SIS's summer anthem "Nesrib," Ilario Alicante's "Near Africa" and plenty more via their Numbers sub-label, the imprint has become one of the central hubs in the so-called house revival of Southern Germany. To celebrate the artistic renaissance, Reboot and Sascha Dive, good friends of the label, have been enlisted to take the reins of a mix CD putting that sound to plastic for eternity in July when From Frankfurt to Mannheim will be released. The mix includes tracks either created by producers who live in the titular two cities or on labels such as Cécille, Oslo, Deep Vibes, Cocoon, Playhouse, Raum Musik, Be Chosen and Connaisseur that reside there.

Tue, 01 Sep 2009im listening to reboots right now and its a flawless mix but not very inspiring... going to listen to saschas later, I love his productions!

Tue, 25 Aug 2009Diff'rent strokes I guess. I think Reboot's mix is really bland and uninteresting. I can't fault it technically and the playlist is great too, but it just doesn't grab me at all. A little too polished perhaps?

Sascha Dive's mix for me is much the better of the two. It's really jacking all the way through, and while it may not be as faultlessly mixed as reboot's it feels more natural for me. I know which I'd rather here in a club... (not that it is necessarily about that...)

Fri, 14 Aug 2009Although the tracks on Dive's mix are quite good, I think the mix is a mess. It doesn't go anywhere and there are few moments that stick out. I was in search for a flow the whole mix.. Thoroughly enjoyed Reboot's take though..
