Berlin-based dubstep night Sub:stance is set to celebrate it's first birthday with a takeover of both Berghain and Panorama Bar on July 10th.

As a testament to a highly successful first 12 months in office, the Sub:stance crew are set extend their regular residence of Berghain and spill over into Panorama Bar for the birthday bash. Having reportedly smashed the opening party to smithereens, Mala (of Digital Mystikz fame) will make his return to the club and will be joined by his DMZ cohort Loefah. Those with a taste for jungle will be pleased to learn that the twin peaks of Remarc and D-Bridge will be appearing, and of course, (as it's his party) Hotflush's Scuba will also be thrashing the soundsystem downstairs. Panorama Bar meanwhile will shape up with a decidedly four-four slant, as US jocks Stacey Pullen and Dan Curtin set up alongside Appleblim, Paul Spymania and John Osborn-all of whom have a healthy penchant for house and techno. 10 Comments
