  • Efdemin has been selected as the headliner for the latest secretsundaze party. Taking place on Sunday August 9th, the event will be secretsundaze's third at Shoreditch's Light Bar so far this year, and will act as the German artist's debut performance for the crew. Efdemin-real name Phillip Sollmann-has featured heavily on these pages over the last few years, even scooping the #2 slot in our Top 10 albums of 2007 feature with his first and only full-length. Known for marrying melodic minimalist grooves to a light house bump, Sollmann has featured on labels such as Dial, liebe*detail, Curle, yet he's also much-lauded for his DJing skills. With regular slots at Panorama Bar, Robert Johnson and Fabric, you can be sure that he'll take you on quite a ride, mixing up older house cuts with more austere techno selections. He's also currently working on his sophomore album for Hamburg's Dial imprint, so revellers should listen out for new Efdemin tracks amongst his set. As is now par for the course at secretsundaze, co-founders Giles Smith and James Priestley will sandwich Sollmann's performance with their own sets, serving up the crowd with a bumper helping of house. Tickets for the party are now available to purchase directly through RA Tickets.
