  • Donato Dozzy is set to make his first ever Dublin performance for Test in August. The Italian DJ/producer has been a respected figure on the techno scene of his Rome hometown for many years now, and even secured a specific after hours residency in the early days of Berlin's Panorama Bar. After moving to Berlin for a couple of years, Donato returned to Rome where currently he runs his Aquaplano and Dozzy Records imprints. Both the quality of his released output and his live performances at festivals such as Labyrinth in Japan have meant that Dozzy has been fully embraced by the international techno underground for his uncompromising and trippy sound, which has garnered the unofficial tag of "headfuck techno." You can be sure that there'll be plenty of that going on at Test on Friday 14th August, which takes place at the Kennedy's venue on Westland Row. The local support acts aren't to be sniffed at either, with Lerosa bringing his raw house vibe to the mix, and D1's Scott Logan rocking a more techno-oriented sound.
