  • DFA Records are set to hold a label showcase at East London venue Cargo on August 22nd. October 2008 was the last time James Murphy, Tim Goldsworthy and Jonathan Galkin's DFA imprint ventured forth into the realm of club events. On that particular occasion Murphy curated an evening of fun at Greenwich venue matter, and brought, among others, Juan Maclean and Gavin Russom to the O2 Arena. For the imprint's next London foray, DFA have decided upon East London establishment Cargo as the party vehicle and have assembled a tasty looking spread of the label's roster for attendees to feast upon. Playing on the night then will be rubbish Irish android Marcus Lambkin AKA Shit Robot, whose "Simple Things (Work It Out)" effort has been garnering him with some appreciative noises of late, thanks in part to the rather handy Todd Terje version. Label stalwarts Mock & Toof, Jacques Renault and Justin Miller will also be getting in on the action for a night that will be free to enter for those arriving before 11pm.
