  • Hyperdub have unveiled details surrounding their fifth anniversary compilation, 5 Years of Low End Contagion. Half a decade on from the dusty melancholy that was Burial's South London Boroughs EP, Kode9 has deemed the time right to release a double disc selection that will honour the past, present and future of the label. Hyperdub has been at both the fore and the fringes of the dubstep scene throughout its time in business, championing the likes of The Bug, Samiyam, Zomby, Cooly G, and of course the aforementioned shadowy South Londoner Burial. 5 Years of Low End Contagion will be comprised of a single disc representing the imprint's prior highlights (including a handful of previously unreleased cuts), and another of specially composed material from Flying Lotus, Joker & Ginz, Zomby, Martyn and Mala among others. Vinyl versions of the newer tracks will be released through a series of weekly EPs until the early October release of the full CD. The full tracklist is yet to be announced, but eager ears can head over to Bleep to check out a sneak preview. Hyperdub will release 5 Years of Low End Contagion in October 2009.
