VInspired Lake Of Stars have revealed the first acts that will be travelling to Malawi for this year's festival.

The event was founded by Chibuku Shake Shake promoter Will Jameson, after he found himself inspired by a volunteering trip around Africa. Jameson originally drew up plans to bring tourist money into the country as well as provide an international stage for Malawian artists to perform on, and so far he's done exactly that, getting full support from the Malawian authorities. For its sixth year, the festival will uproot to the picturesque Sunbird Nkopola Lodge at the southern end of Lake Malawi, positioning the site directly between the two major cities in Malawi. With lush tropical gardens and views across the huge lake, VInspired Lake Of Stars promises a festival location to greatly rival the usual grassy field scenario.

The full line-up is yet to be announced, but organisers have let slip a few names, including the ghetto-pop of Radioclit, Tayo's dubstep-infused breakbeat, electro-house from London's DEKKER, hip-hop from Sway and indie rock from The Maccabees. Hot Chip's Joe Goddard will also take to the decks during the weekend, with the more artists set to be announced in the coming weeks. 2 Comments
