  • Minus have revealed details of an upcoming DVD documentary charting the label's 2008 world tour under the banner of their improvisational Contakt show. As we're sure you're all aware by now, Richie Hawtin and his M_nus colleagues took to the road last year in celebration of the imprint's tenth year of service with their collaborative, laptop-based Contakt project. Now the label are offering a chance to scratch the surface of the tour with a "fly-on-the-wall" look at what transpired during the those nine performances. Co-directed by Ali Demirel and Richie Hawtin, the film is said to give a, "warts 'n' all appraisal of the highs, lows, triumphs and near catastrophes that accompanied the tour," and will take in everything from the venue issues that plagued the initial show in Detroit, through to the gargantuan gig at Amsterdam's The Sand during ADE and the finale at Tokyo's Makuhari Messe. A preview of the documentary is scheduled to take place in London on September 25th at the ICA (Institute of Contemporary Arts) ahead of the one-off reunion show at Brixton Academy the following evening. Minus will release the Contakt DVD in Autumn/Winter 2009.
