Jamie Lloyd 's second album, Beware Of The Light , is due to hit shops late next month.
The Sydney-based singer-songwriter had success with his Trouble Within full-length back in 2006, but it was the raft of deep house remixes from the likes of Quarion , Zwicker and Trickski that really brought his music onto dance floors worldwide. However, he's set to change all that with Beware Of The Light , which may have a few classic songwriting overtones ("The Wolf's Son," "Beware Of The Light") remaining throughout, but is a much fuller and bigger affair due to Lloyd's desire for material for his "angular club shows." Expect bright melodic synth tones, synthetic disco grooves and a little more pump than before.
As with the last record, Future Classic have already roped in some select producers to remix the tracks, with Mark E , Matthew Herbert , Tuff City Kids (Gerd Janson and Arto Mwambé ) and Alex Barck from Jazzanova all waiting in the wings to tackle Lloyd's source material.
