- The experimental producer is set to put out the follow-up to Dedications in October on Anticipate.
Klimek will return to Anticipate later this year with a new album entitled Movies Is Magic.
The Berlin-based producer hasn't released a new album under the name since 2007. It was in that year that he moved from Kompakt to Anticipate for Dedications, an album that veered slightly from his guitars-delayed-into-infinity style. Movies reportedly continues that trend with "swathes and swells of cinematic, expansive melodies: from the bold to the understated, the shades of grey to the brightly direct, the string-laden to the piano-driven." For those who can't get enough of the slow-motion ambience proffered by Klimek, you're in luck: Anticipate plans to release an alternate version of the album on vinyl in January, complete with new tracks and re-edits of a few of the songs found on the CD version.
