  • Egg's weekly Always Fridays bash are planning to host one label showcase in both September and October, with CLR and BPitch Control set to be the next imprints involved. The ongoing plan is to get the label owner to DJ for a full five hours in the club's main arena, while offering them the basement to curate a selection of artists from their roster. Things kicked off last weekend with a night of electro house from Lee Mortimer's Wearhouse Music, but the September 18th bash will appeal to fans of tougher techno sounds. Chris Liebing will take to the decks for an extended set, and the Frankfurt DJ has revealed that he hasn't planned for it at all. "The longer the sets, the smaller the plan - that's the beauty of it. My actual set-up with all my equipment allows me to basically move into any direction that I wish; it could end up being a five-hour straight-up techno set, it could also cover a wider range of electronic music. It all depends on the vibe of the people and my personal state of mind." While all this will be going on, Brian Sanhaji, Perc, Tommy Four Seven, Emerson and Nick AC will be banging out the beats in the basement room, moving from minimal through to full-on techno, with a few electro-tinged touches on the way. The following month's label party sees BPitch Control arrive in London for one of their tenth anniversary tour dates, with Kiki, Thomas Muller and Chaim looking after the sweaty basement while BPitch boss Ellen Allien stretches out her extended set on Egg's terrace. Tickets for Chris Liebling's CLR showcase are available to purchase directly from RA Tickets.
