- The documentary charting the exploits of Minus' Contakt tour will have its premier in London later this month.
- Making Contakt, the documentary based upon Minus' 2008 Contakt tour, will get its premier at London's ICA later this month. As we reported last month, Minus are set to release a DVD documentary charting the voyage that was their nine date jaunt around the world. The film is co-directed by label head Richie Hawtin and Ali Demirel and includes extensive behind the scenes footage along with commentary from the "cast" and never before seen gig footage. Due date for the release had been a very loose Autumn/Winter 2009, which has now been pushed back to early 2010. Richie Hawtin will be sticking around after both the 8.30 and 10.30pm screenings for an open discussion with co-director Demirel, and will field questions from our very own editor Todd L. Burns on the subjects of, among other things, Contakt, cooking and true love. We're also running a competition alongside this little shindig, so if you fancy a shot at bagging a pair of tickets to the upcoming Contakt show at Brixton Academy of the 26th, a pair of tickets to the DVD screening, or one of two signed copies of the DVD, simply head over to the RA competitions page to find out more.
