Turin's Club To Club festival have unveiled the first names that will play their 2009 event, with
Jeff Mills and
Laurent Garnier leading the charge.
Now in its ninth year, Club To Club has established itself as one of Italy's biggest electronic music festivals, with over 20,000 people attending
last year's event. The full programme is yet to be announced, but organisers are planning to use many of the same venues as last year to host a wealth of international talent, ranging from Detroit techno doyen
Carl Craig to the genre-bending antics of Glasgow's
Optimo crew.
Apart from the aforementioned acts, we can confirm that
Culoe De Song,
DJ Pierre,
Steffi,
Seth Troxler,
Shed,
Marcel Dettmann,
Tim Exile,
Hudson Mohawke,
Francesco Tristano and
Hot Chip's Joe Goddard will all be making their Club To Club debuts this November, with plenty more acts still to be announced. Basic Channel member
Moritz von Oswald is also due to make an appearance, and although most of his recent live performances have been as part of the
Moritz Von Oswald Trio with
Vladislav Delay and Max Loderbauer, his Club To Club show will see the techno legend take the controls for what will no doubt be one of the essential sets of the festival.
