M.A.N.D.Y.'s contribution to Renaissance's The Mix Collection series is set to be released in October.

After launching two new mix series this year—Platform and Sidetracked—Renaissance are reviving the Mix Collection title that launched the label in 1994. Get Physical co-founders M.A.N.D.Y follow in the footsteps of previous contributors Sasha & Digweed, Fathers Of Sound, Dave Seaman and Danny Howells.

The double-disc mix will be Bodmer and Jung's debut collaboration with Renaissance, and they've made the most of their experienced licensing department with an effort taking in 44 tracks across its duration. Entitled Upside Down, the first CD kicks things off in a warm-up flavoured vein, featuring tunes from Shed, Wareika and Sebastien Tellier as well as their "Full Off..." cut, which was recorded exclusively for the compilation. Second disc Downside Up sees the Berlin duo pick up the pace with upfront techno and house from Isolée, Martin Buttrich and Ben Watt, with a sprinkling of classic electro and techno from Dynamix II and The Black Dog.

Sat, 28 Nov 2009The second CD is the best IMO, some nice slow- burning tracks for the car. The remake of the Smiths track 'There is a Light that Never Goes Out' is sacraligious though, it makes me cringe. Some things should be left as they are!

Sat, 21 Nov 2009also had the same problem. brought it back and was given a replacement with the exact same 8 tracks on disc 2. bought the album in hmv limerick, ireland

Sat, 21 Nov 2009The day I can write a paragraph of text even half as good as the first one in this review, I'll know I've arrived.

Fri, 13 Nov 2009PS. The 'style' category for this release as 'Techno' is not correct. Should be expaunded to Techno, Tech House, Deep House, Electonica.

All that even though I don't like to pigeon-hole stuff musch, this ain't just Techno!
