Sven Väth headlines matter NYE

Cocoon are set to see in 2010 at the Greenwich venue, while Dubfire will deputize for Sven at their event later this month.

Cocoon will see South London venue matter into the New Year, with label boss Sven Vath leading the charge.

It appears Sven is growing rather fond of Greenwich super club matter. After two wildly successful events at the venue earlier this year, Cocoon have chosen to celebrate the arrival of 2010 at the club, and although he is the only act to be confirmed thus far, you can be sure Sven will be bringing the cream of his roster to London come December 31st.

In other Cocoon/matter related news, details have emerged regarding the third installment of Cocoon's ongoing matter residency. On October 24th, Sci+Tec man Dubfire will be handed the task of filling in for Sven. (The US DJ recently had a hand in mixing the Ten Years Cocoon Ibiza CD, alongside the party's resident Loco Dice.) Joining Dubfire on the night in room 1 will be another pair of recent Cocoon contributors in the form of Timo Maas and Jacek Sienkiewicz, the latter of which will be plugging in for a live set. Room 2 meanwhile will see Mr C and his Superfreq cohorts come away from their base at Paramount for the evening, as well as Freak N Chic's Dan Ghenacia, US producer Adultnapper and resident Luke VB.

Tickets for Cocoon London Part 3 with Dubfire are available now through RA Tickets. comment 60 Comments

Wed, 20 Jan 2010Too little positive statements about this perfect NYE 2009/10! Here´s mine:

I agree, Sven and Andre were great. But YOUSEF topped it all! If there is such a thing as 'intellectual' electronic music - it´s him! This man has my special attention for the future. And Cassy, too, in room 2 (with the already mentioned architectural difficulties...) appeared in the perfect mood - calm, relaxed, no unnecessary movements and total control over a fantastic set - that I joined from time to time to cool... More

Mon, 04 Jan 2010I hear ya M.I.T. The main stairs and a re-positioning of the room 2 booth are on our to-do list this year.

Glad you had a good night!

Sun, 03 Jan 2010Had a wicked night. Thought yousef set was the best of the night. But in general the music wasn't as good as ive seen before at cocoon parties. shame sven couldn't have closed it out. Room 2 the system is great but the room just really dosen't work, its been like that every time ive been to matter.
