The Detroit producer will make a rare UK appearance at Honest Jon's midweek party next month.
Anthony 'Shake' Shakir will head to Europe next month, stopping for a single date in London on Thursday 17th December.
The Detroit-based maverick is over to play Hard Wax's 20th birthday party in Berlin earlier in the month, but while he's on the continent, he'll drop in to Plastic People for a much more intimate performance. Shakir's battle with multiple sclerosis means that touring is quite a difficult process, so fans wanting to check him out should make the most of what is a rare opportunity to see the man in the flesh. Known for his diverse and forward-thinking productions, Shakir also brings this mindset to his sets, showcasing a mix of disco, house, techno and electro that will no doubt include plenty of rarities as well as more modern fare.
The Honest Jon's label and shop are hosting the bash, which will be their first since May's Berlin-centric event with DJ Pete, Sleeparchive and Hard Wax owner Mark Ernestus. The Basic Channel man will also take a spot on the bill for next month's bash, showcasing his penchant for dub reggae, while the UK will be represented by Werk boss Actress. The May party sold out about a week in advance, so interested fans are urged to pick up tickets from the Honest Jon's site to avoid disappointment.
