Marcus Nasty will release his first official mix CD later this month.

Before he started playing any funky, Marcus was the founder of London's highly regarded grime collective, N.A.S.T.Y. Crew, which also featured top names such as Kano, D Double E and Jammer. After London's grime scene imploded, Marcus was looking for something fresh to invest his efforts into, and it was funky that grabbed his ear. Originally beginning as a group of grime DJs playing US house in Ayia Napa, the funky movement quickly blossomed, with producers putting their own grime and garage-inspired touches onto the template. Featuring plenty of exclusive tracks, Nasty's Rinse 10 mix will still cater to hardened funky buyers, with unreleased contributions coming from Lil Silva, Ill Blu, Scotty D, Agent X and Perempay & Dee. And for newcomers looking to get a feel for the more underground side of the genre, Rinse 10 looks to be a sound starting point.
