Clark, Damian Lazarus and DJ T. will all perform at the venue throughout December.
Born from the aftermath of the now defunct Ffour, New Guernica has now launched, also revealing its booking schedule for the Christmas season.
Taking its name from Pablo Picasso's 1937 painting, New Guernica, like its predecessor, will be staying firmly within the 4/4 spectrum, hosting weekly parties on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. Thursdays will primarily host local DJs, while Fridays and Saturdays will be reserved for internationals. Throughout the working week, New Guernica will also serve as a Japanese restaurant and afternoon cocktail bar.
The venue has already opened its doors, but things will really kick off in next month. Getting the international schedule underway in December, New Guernica will host the Melbourne legs of each of the DJ T., Jay Shepheard and Damian Lazarus tours. Clark> will serve as New Guernica's first international guest on December 3rd as part of his Warp Records 20th anniversary showcase, DJ T. is set to drop in two days later on December 5th, while Jay Shepheard and Damian Lazarus will close out the year, the latter playing a show on Christmas Day.
