Bloc have announced the second round of names for next year's event, with plenty of focus on the bassier end of the dance music spectrum.
Pinch's Subloaded night will again host a stage after last year's success on the opening night, bringing along
Kode9,
Mary Anne Hobbs,
Distance and Mungo's Hi-Fi as well as Bristol residents
Appleblim,
Peverelist and Blazey, with
T++ also making the trip over from Berlin to perform a rare live set. Frequent Glade curators Overkill will also make their second consecutive Bloc appearance with sets from
Luke Vibert, Gescom member Rob Hall and jungle stalwart Congo Natty.
London's bass music community will be represented by Rinse FM and their FWD party, with grime (Boy Better Know), dubstep (Youngsta, N-Type, Chef) and funky (
Roska,
Marcus Nasty, Geeneus) all featuring, while Braindrop will balance the slinky garage vibes of MJ Cole with wobble-happy bass music (Raffertie, Kanji Kinetic) and drum & bass (
DJ Hype).
Smaller promoters will also be getting their own mini-showcases, with
D:Bridge and
Instra:mental showcasing their forward-thinking drum & bass, Mulletover providing some tech-house (with the help of
Lee Curtiss and organiser
Geddes) and Man Make Music hosting
Joy Orbison's slinky anthemic dubstep.
Disco Bloodbath will offer some relief from all the pounding beats, while
Alden Tyrell will fly in to appease fans of vintage italo and electro.
BPitch Control boss
Ellen Allien has also been added to the main stage, but if her style isn't tough enough for you, DJ Rush will be on hand to pump out some high energy techno stompers. For all of the other additions, check out Bloc's
RA event page.
