Appleblim is about to embark on his first tour of Australia, where he'll be playing a number of shows across the country.

The producer, label boss and DJ will arrive next week, getting the tour underway with a Void and Bass High collaboration in Melbourne, before moving on for dates in Perth, Sydney and Hobart. Since emerging from the UK's broken beat scene in the mid-'00s, the Bristol-based creative has become one of the most talked-about artists bridging the dubstep-techno divide, managing both the Skull Disco and Apple Pips imprints. Fittingly, as the last touring international of 2009, Appleblim's Australian visit will be handled by some of the best in the country. Void and Bass High go head to head in Melbourne, while the Perth leg will mark the debut of Australia's newest dubstep promoter, Organic. Index and Void match off in Sydney, with the Tasmanian leg providing locals with a rare chance to catch a free afternoon set from one of the genre's leading lights.

Laurie Osbourne is a producer who refuses to be tied down to one sound. He found his home in the Dubstep scene and has brought his exploratory ear and constant urge to push things forward to the table. Fusing the 'Berlin sound', dub techno and house with the Dubstep template his productions as Appleblim are unique and his mixes are coveted. Coupled with his work on his label Applepips, Osbourne is a producer to take notice... More
