- Sasse and Nils Penner will start a new digital imprint with a focus firmly on deep house.
Sasse and his Moodmusic signing Nils Penner will begin to collaborate on a new digital label early next year.
Entitled Wazi Wazi Music, the imprint will act as a platform for the deep house-oriented productions that take their cues from classic US tracks but with an updated digital production sheen. Penner first hooked up with Sasse in 2008 when he signed his and John Muder's "Are You Lost" to his Moodmusic stable, but the first Wazi Wazi release will see Penner go it alone for his debut solo outing. The Kodachrome EP will hit digital stores in February, offering an upbuilding hypnotic house groove on the title track, with two more relaxed cuts included on the rest of the package. Muder will follow with the next Wazi Wazi release in March, utilising cut-up vocal samples and surging stabs to create a more uplifting vibe than his sometime production partner.
