  • Tiga will launch a weekly series of remix 12-inches drawing upon his recently released Ciao! album next year. As release schedules go, Tiga's decision to put out records on consecutive weeks during February 2010 may at first seem a touch risky. But cast your eye down the list of production talent he's managed to assemble, and suddenly things don't feel half dicey. First up is the triple threat of Matias Aguayo, Jamie Lidell and Trevor Jackson who have all gone to work on "Sex O'Clock," which will be followed up be remixes of "Overtime" by Adam Beyer and Brodinski. The next week will see Seth Troxler and Mathew Jonson step up to the plate with versions of "Gentle Giant," while perhaps the biggest coup will arrive in the final week of the month, as the venerable Carl Craig applies his deft touch to "Love Don't Dance Here Anymore" with Tiga pitching in with an instrumental offering. "For these remixes, I looked to Titans," says Tiga on the project. "Standing on the roof of my greenhouse, I called out, 'Hey you, get off of that impossible cloud and into my car. We’re gonna drive all night 'til we hit Remix City!'" And there'll also be an incentive for those shelling out for the entire collection: "If you purchase all four, I will write your name and credit card information in a special leather-bound book," Tiga explains. "Also one copy will include a silver ticket, which you can trade in for a golden ticket. Which does nothing." The series will be launched digitally via PIAS and on vinyl through Turbo Recordings as of February 1st 2010.
