- The American-born, Berlin-based DJ is next in line for BPitch's compilation series.
Seth Troxler has mixed the fifth volume of BPitch Control's Boogybytes series.
2009's #8 DJ in the world according to RA readers, has seen his profile skyrocket since his move to Berlin from his childhood home in Michigan. It's something he's well aware of, and it's led him to pay tribute to the city with his entry into the series, which has formerly featured the likes of Modeselektor and Sascha Funke. "I wanted to do something which would set itself apart from all the trends, and yet paint a picture of this city and portray it the way I experience it," says Troxler of his mix. To do so, he goes from the deep funk of Craig Smith and The Revenge onto the minimal of Alexi Delano and straight through to Wolf + Lamb labelmate Nicolas Jaar over the course of the release's length. The peak, as we're told though, comes with Troxler's own remix of Fever Ray.
