- The fashion designer will issue a mix of electronic disco and downtempo tracks in collaboration with koweSix next month.
Silke Wilhelm I will launch her Conte De Conteur label with a double compilation that has been curated by herself and Moonbootica's koweSix.
Entitled Audiovisual Couture Vol. 1, the release is being used to promote Wilhelm's two new fragrances, with each disc supposedly representing each one. After a chance meeting while Wilhelm was out clubbing, Oliver Kowalski (AKA koweSix) was chosen to be the face of her male fragrance's advertising campaign as well as mixing the collection, and he's brought together quite a varied selection of sounds.
The Embrace disc—which represents the men's fragrance—is the more diverse of the two, throwing together trip-hop courtesy of Tricky, acoustic songsmithery from Elliott Smith and Fink, ambience by Gamat 3000 and loose jazz from The Cinematic Orchestra. Lucent, on the other hand, is more of a mix of dance floor-orientated tunes for disco-friendly clubs, featuring DFA favourites Walter Jones and Still Going as well as cuts from Junior Boys, Tensnake, Aeroplane and Vincenzo. Each compilation will also come in a luxury box with samples of both of Wilhelm's fragrances.
