  • Brackles is set to headline Hoya:Hoya's second birthday party at Manchester's Roadhouse this Saturday. Even though they've only been on the scene for a mere 24 months, Hoya:Hoya promoters Illum Sphere and Jonny Dub have already carved out quite a name for themselves, with the former already appearing on three Fat City releases, as well as recently remixing Martyn's "Brilliant Orange" into a jagged melancholic 2-stepper. The pair are also noted for their deft skills behind the decks, but they've certainly brought in some competition for Saturday's birthday bash. Brackles has had a whirlwind couple of years, bringing his futuristic synergy of dubstep and UK garage to labels such as Planet Mu, Berkane Sol and Fabric, but it's been his online mixes and live appearances that have really cemented his hardcore fanbase. He'll be joined by man of the moment, Floating Points, who has been widely embraced by fans of both house and bass music over the past year. Expect a suitably varied set when he mans the controls, most likely stretching all the way from disco and house through to dubstep and hip-hop.
