  • Peverelist will headline this weekend's Wax Treatment bash at Berlin's Horst club. The monthly party has built up quite a following in a relatively short space of time, offering a refreshing alternative to the usual nighttime parties that go on in the city. Opening its doors at 6 PM and offering a selection of authentic Caribbean cuisine, Wax Treatment serves to both highlight and indulge the Hard Wax staff's passion for Jamaican music and culture. Fittingly, each event sees them lug down their custom-built Killasan sound system, ensuring that the music sounds as crisp and bass-heavy as possible. DJ Pete is the only artist to appear at every party so far, and he'll again take to the decks at this Sunday's session, with Hard Wax owner Mark Ernestus also set to throw down his own interpretation of the reggae sound with the help of Paul St. Hilaire (AKA Tikiman), Koki and Freddy Mellow on mic duties. Berghain resident and MMM member Fiedel will complete the support line-up, with Punch Drunk founder Peverelist heading over from his Bristol base to take the top billing. The bash will mark the dubstep producer's second ever Berlin appearance (following his show at last year's Club Transmediales festival), and you can be sure that he'll be packing plenty of bassweight to make the most of the Killasan system.
