  • Tresor will mark the passing of their 19th birthday by staging two parties over the weekend of Friday March 12th. If any club is entitled to stage a party under the sub-heading "A History In Techno" than it's Berlin's legendary Tresor venue. Starting out in 1991 from the vaults of a former department store in the city's Mitte district, Tresor became the worldwide byword for techno clubbing during the 1990s, serving as a European launchpad for key Detroit artists such as Jeff Mills, Robert Hood and Blake Baxter. Tresor remained in their Leipziger Straße venue until 2005—the site was sold to property developers—before shifting the action a few kilometers down the road to a converted power station on Köpenicker Strasse. Blake Baxter has maintained a close relationship with the club since the early '90s and has been chosen as the name to lead celebrations in the venue's Globus Room on Friday March 12th, with support from Daniel Rajkovic and Kathy. The harder-edged Tresor room meanwhile will shake to the sounds of Scandinavian mainstay Cari Lekebusch, with resident Pacou and a live PA from Niklas. The Saturday it seems will be all about DJ Rush and his Kne'deep imprint, as the "self-styled freak" headlines the Tresor floor. Pet Duo and Du'Art from the label join him, while Globus welcomes Belgrade duo Dejan Milicevic and Marko Nastic.
