- The ex-Funkstörung man will collect seventeen of his solo remixes onto a single disc compilation next month.
Michael Fakesch will issue a compilation of his own remix work in March.
Fakesch is perhaps best known for his work alongside Chris De Luca as Funkstörung, who together produced a varied mix of electro, acid and IDM before their split in '06. More recently, his solo work has seen him take on a joyously Prince-infused micro-house sound. He'll be putting the falsetto vocals to the side for his Exchange compilation, however, which collects seventeen of his remixes for the likes of Booka Shade, Bomb The Bass and Matthew Herbert.
The CD will also include previously unreleased takes on acts such as Mr. Oizo, Raz Ohara, Von Südenfed, Jimmy Edgar, Notwist and The Broadway Project, and there will also be an accompanying series of three vinyl releases, which will include six tracks that were unavailable on vinyl upon their original release. The collection serves to showcase Fakesch's wide array of styles, encompassing squelchy acid, stuttering electro-house, atmospheric techno and loping instrumental hip-hop.
