  • SOS 4.8 has made its initial line-up announcement, with Carl Craig set to the electronic line at the festival. The non-stop 48 hour event—which takes place in the city of Murcia in southern Spain from April 30th to May 1st—doesn't just have its focus on dance music, with plenty of contemporary art exhibitions and conferences catering for those who want a bit more than just music. The special twist this year will be a space called Taboo, which has been curated by Barcelona's Apolo Theatre and will offer a variety of performance art, ranging from circus and cabaret through to burlesque and striptease. The Detroit techno stalwart's live set should definitely bring the techno fans out in force, and he'll be accompanied on keyboards and various machines by UR main man Mike Banks and Planet E signing Monty Luke. Orbital will also perform one of their characteristically anthemic live sets, while the rest of the electronic music line-up so far is comprised of the angsty electro-house of Uffie and big beat baron Fatboy Slim. Otherwise, there are plenty of rock-oriented acts that will also take to the stage over the course of the two days, with Crystal Castles, Franz Ferdinand, The Horrors, Madness and Tindersticks all set to appear.
