Von Spar will release their third album,
Foreigner this May on
Italic.
So far, the German quartet have forged a sound that combines elements of kraut rock, disco and psychedelic pop, as heard on their previous two full-lengths as well as
Hybolt, their 12-inch from last summer.
Foreigner shows Von Spar further along this same trajectory, combining glistening synths with steady locomotive rhythms, and sprinkling the mix with bits of retro, sci-fi camp. The album's single, "Troops," will feature remixes by DFA's
Prince Language and Cómeme's Rebolledo.
