French DJ and producer Chloé will release her second studio album next month on Kill the DJ.
The cryptically titled One in Other shows the Parisian artist further perfecting her haunting style of electronic music. Generally speaking, the vibe is personal, mysterious and vaguely sinister–in other words, fairly similar to her Live at Robert Johnson mix, as well as The Waiting Room, her debut album from 2007. But One in Other is also notably diverse, with gloomy slow-burners, psychedelic meanderings and some slightly sunnier, Stereolab-esque pop tunes. And while clubbable tracks are in no short supply, all eleven songs are tinged with Chloé's shadowy, ruminative flair.
