  • Elektro Guzzi's debut album will see release this May on Macro. The Austrian trio attempts to blur the line between live and electronic music. Their songs have a very techno-inspired aesthetic, but the band itself is rather traditional, with a core set-up consisting of little more than drums, bass and guitar. No pre-recorded loops or overdubs are used. Despite their rock-influenced approach, though, Elektro Guzzi have landed some impressive club gigs in the next few months, including dates at Fabric, Berghain and Rot Sonne. They've also been billed at some of the spring and summer's biggest electronic festivals, like Time Warp, Sonar and Austria's Springfestival. To get an idea of what Elektro Guzzi look like live, check out this performance from earlier this year: Tracklist 01. Hexenschuss 02. Black Egg 03. Kimbo 04. Elastic Bulb 05. Loq Pol 06. Clapping 07. Ludium 08. Jackpump 09. Sediment 10. Franz Macro will release Elektro Guzzi on May 19th, 2010.
