- The Parisian producer will release his first album in four years later this spring.
Charles Siegling, AKA Technasia, will release his second studio album, Central, this May.
Originally consisting of Siegling and Hong Kong-based artist Amil Khan, Technasia formed in 1996 after the pair met in China. They've since released over a dozen records, including the 2000 single "Force" and the 2003 mix Fuse Presents Technasia, which made Resident Advisor's Top 100 Tracks and Top 50 Mixes of the '00s respectively. In 2008, Khan left the group to focus on family life, but Siegling has continued to produce under the moniker. Central, which is named after a metro station on Hong Kong Island, will be Technasia's first full-length in four years.
"I wanted to give my music time to evolve artistically before making a new record," says Siegling. "I wanted to do something that would last, to simply compose music the way I want to, and to reflect my different musical tastes. After a year of hard work I'm very pleased–I have achieved everything I set out to do."
