  • Bristol's under_score night will be winding down operations with one final party at Day & Night this Friday. Arguably the finest house and techno night that has graced the city over the past decade, under_score has focused on the more experimental end of dance floor electronics in a variety of intimate venues across the city, putting on the debut Bristol performances of artists such as Marcel Dettmann, Move D, Bruno Pronsato, Portable, Errorsmith, Andy Stott, Claro Intelecto, DJ Pete, Shed and Sleeparchive. Due to some of its founding members leaving the city, they've decided to go out on a high with one of the finest names in London's underground house scene. Uzuri head honcho Lakuti played at the fifth ever under_score event–their first at the city's infamous Cosies venue–back in March of 2005, and the capital's queen of house music will be returning to under_score to take things full circle at their final blowout. Bristol's Furesshu will also be celebrating his Marcel Dettmann-charted debut vinyl release with a set of dark, swung techno, while support will come from the reliable under_score residents Placid and Jim Petherwick.
