Basic launches at 202 Broadway

- The new Sydney weekly will feature local dubstep, jungle and hip-hop DJs.
- Basic, a new Sydney club night dedicated to the sounds of dubstep, jungle and hip-hop, is set to kick off this Thursday at 202 Broadway. Four of Sydney's local crews – Void, Headroom, Foreigndub and Space Is The Place – will be working together on the weekly party, bringing with them a range of sounds and influences. On the dubstep front, the launch this week will see Void and Foreigndub represented by sets from each of their residents, while Johnny Faith and Prize take the controls with their future hip-hop and glitch for Headroom and Space Is The Place, respectively. Entry each week will be free of charge, with each night kicking off at an early 8:00 PM. The arrival of the new night comes just shortly after 202 Broadway announced that they had upgraded their downstairs speaker setup, adding a Funktion One soundsystem which will no doubt suit the bass heavy sounds of Basic nicely.
