Paranormal Spectrums, the new Kore-powered instrument from Native Instruments, has just been released.
NI are aiming their latest Kore instrument at the soundtrack and scores fields, although anyone looking to inject a little darkness into their electronic music productions would likely find at least something to chew on. The set was constructed using field recordings, synthesizer programming and "unusual sampled sounds," and is offered up in the form of pads, soundscapes, mallets, flutes, bells and synths. At its most basic level, Paranormal Spectrums is 100 KoreSounds, although with eight morphable audio variations on each they should essentially be thought of as 800 individual sounds.
