Australian fans will be the last to catch James Murphy and co. in live mode.
Australia will host two more live sets from LCD Soundsystem, with sideshows announced alongside their upcoming slot at Splendour In The Grass in July.
According to front man James Murphy, the outfit's Australian dates will be their last. "This is our last tour," Murphy told radio station triple j of the upcoming shows. "It's the end of this type of thing for us."
With the release of This Is Happening just weeks away, anticipation for the outfit's live sets is high. In the week prior to appearing at the Splendour In The Grass festival in Queensland, the group will be heading south for arena-sized shows in Sydney and Melbourne. The dates will be LCD Soundsystem's first live Australian shows in some time, having last toured in the country as a part of 2008's Big Day Out tour.
Fellow Splendour attendees Hot Chip will join Murphy and his crew at both sideshows, happening at Sydney's Horden Pavillion and Melbourne's Festival Hall.
