Kode9, Joy Orbison, Four Tet and The Orb are among the new acts confirmed for the massive UK festival.
Glastonbury have announced the full lineup for this year's Dance Village, including two stages dedicated to forward-thinking electronic music.
Featuring a mix of house, disco, dubstep and whatever Kode9 feels like busting out, the WOW! and Cubehenge stages present a nice alternative to the more mainstream East and West Dance areas. Over the course of the weekend, the former will host the likes of Joy Orbison, Four Tet, Hudson Mohawke and Roska, plus a smattering of Hyperdub DJs, including Ikonika, Terror Danjah & Darkstar, as well as label boss Kode9. On the more 4/4 oriented front, Horse Meat Disco and Hot Natured will provide some sunnier party grooves; Jamie xx, of the acclaimed British indie band The XX, has been penned in as well. In keeping with Glastonbury's obsession with bonkers aesthetics, the WOW! stage will be outfitted with a pineapple-shaped DJ booth, flanked by sculptures of flamingos and various other tropical novelties.
Meanwhile, Cubehenge will surround artists and festival-goers with massive, illuminated cubes that pulse and change colors to the music. Performers at this area include Will Saul, Spooky, RSD and The Orb, who will be performing live.
