Legendary trance night The Gallery celebrates 15 Years with a triple-disc mix from residents Sander van Doorn, Tall Paul and Gavyn Mytchel.
The Gallery started out in the popular Farringdon club Turnmills, which was always at the forefront of the argument for longer licensing hours and was among the first UK clubs to host after-hours events. The Gallery, from very early on, booked some of the biggest names in progressive house and trance like Judge Jules, Armin van Buuren and Paul van Dyk. Since the club's closure in 2008, The Gallery has been running every Friday at its new home in the revamped Ministry of Sound.
Dutchman van Doorn's first big break was securing a residency at The Gallery in 2006, and so to show his appreciation for their continued support, he's mixed the first CD of their 15th anniversary compilation with a selection of personal favourites as well as some of his own productions. The album will be completed with a mix each from two other residents, the legendary British DJ Tall Paul, and Gavyn Mytchel.
The club itself will also be running special events, including its actual birthday on Friday 30th April with Paul Oakenfeld headlining followed by an album release party the next Friday. On Saturday 8th May, they're taking their trance show on the road, leaving their usual Lambeth home for Birmingham's Custard Factory where Guy J will be laying on his progressive sounds.
