  • The first names have been announced for this year's N.A.M.E. festival, an annual electronic music event in northern France. Headliners so far include French DJ and producer Laurent Garnier, who will deliver a live/DJ hybrid set. Berlin tech house icon Paul Kalkbrenner will play live as well, along with Kill the DJ artist Chloe. On the DJ front, BPitch Control boss Ellen Allien will return to the festival, joined by Anthony Collins and Matt Edwards, AKA Radio Slave. Boys Noize and Erol Alkan will bring a slightly harder-edged sound, while Uffie and Busy P provide a bit of Ed Banger flavor. As in previous years, N.A.M.E. will take place at different venues in three different neighboring cities: La Tossee a l'union in Tourcoing, Kursaal in Dunkerque and Gare saint Sauveur in Lille. No word yet on which artists will play where, but a shuttle service will be provided to make hopping between the various spots a bit easier.
