  • Caravan boss October has been selected to headline next month's inaugural Idle Hands party in Bristol. Founded by Rooted Records employee Chris Farrell late last year, the Idle Hands label has quickly positioned itself as a force to be reckoned with within Bristol's bass-obsessed dance music community. After just three releases, the imprint has covered technoid dubstep, deep house, tropical UK funky and aphotic slo-mo 4/4 beats, and their esoteric approach looks to continue into their new residency at the recently re-opened Crash Mansion club (which formerly went under the names of both Bar Latino and Soho). October—who already has a collaborative release with Farrell in the pipeline for release later this year—will take top spot on the bill with his intricately twisted techno sound, while fellow Idle Hands signing Kowton will bridge the gap between dubstep, house, and UK garage. Pollen co-founder EFA will bring his heavy mix of dubstep and wonky beatsmithery to the table, with Chris Farrell also making an appearance behind the decks.
