  • Following up on their more electro-tinged affair last year at the Summerstage, Mean Red productions have lined up a two-floor event with some of the best in house and bass-heavy sounds. The event last year in Central Park was a daytime stomper with Boys Noize and New York's own Drop The Lime. This year though, they've planned something much more befitting of their name: an all-night party in a 19th century bank. Upstairs "under the mirrorball" will see two of London's younger stars representing different sides of the ever-sprouting dubstep diaspora. Both on their way up to Mutek, Hyperdub's percussive Ikonika and the elusive Actress should help the night provide "a new 3-D way to experience music." Also on hand is one of the legends of UK garage, MJ Cole and the Ghostly International artist Michna. Downstairs should be a little less murky, with singular Master At Work, Kenny Dope doing his funky house thing, plus chunkier tech-house from Worthy, Nick Hook and Night Slug's Egyptrixx. The night will be rounded off by hometown heroes House of House, who have still got every reason to be resting on their laurels after 2009's undisputed anthem "Rushing to Paradise."
