- The bass music producer and DJ will launch !K7's latest compilation series later this year.
Brackles has been selected to compile the inaugural mix for !K7's new Songs For Endless Cities series.
The Blunted Robots co-founder's efforts will mark the first release on !K7 offshoot Cool In The Pool, which has been specially created to house the mixes. According to the guys at !K7, Cool In The Pool will focus on "the new generation of DJs and producers who have a fresh and individual take on an ever evolving electronic scene," allowing the label to devote attention to the modern takes on dubstep, UK funky and instrumental hip-hop.
The 24-year old Londoner is well known for his DJing prowess in his home city, and this is certainly apparent when listening to the smooth blends that he executes throughout the mix. Although it features some of the biggest tracks of the past 18 months from producers such as Floating Points, Zomby, Deadboy, Cooly G, Kyle Hall and Dorian Concept, Brackles has been keen to balance this out with a fresher selection of tunes. "The newer artists I've picked I think will go on to be sitting in the same bracket as those big artists at some point," he explains. "Funkineven already has some great releases and I reckon the Breach tune on the mix is gonna be one of the biggest of 2010."
