- The new techno and house night will host Alexkid and Martin Landsky in July.
Plantation is set to host the launch of the new Sydney techno and house night Redlight in mid-July, with Alexkid and Martin Landsky set to headline the opening.
One need not look past deep house and techno sounds of both Alexkid and Landsky to get an idea of Redlight's intended music policy. Alexkid is the most techno-oriented of the pair, having spent much of his production career aligned with the likes of F Communications and Cocoon Recordings. In comparison, Landsky's sound is at the deeper end of the house spectrum, though his DJ sets frequently venture into harder techno territory. Alexkid, who is a French native, last visited Australia in 2008, while the Berlin-based Landsky will be touring Australia for the first time. Local support on the night will come from Nick McMartin and T-Boy.
