  • Taste-making London record store Phonica will resume their branded parties this month. After a long association with recently closed Shoreditch venue T Bar, Phonica will relocate south of the Thames to Corsica Studios, with a more noticeably diverse lineup than previous house and techno-centric Phonica events. Known as one half of Chateau Flight, and for his wide-ranging solo productions that take in disco, techno and downtempo, Frenchman I:Cube has been lined up to DJ, while Clone affiliated artist Dexter will likely explore the Dutch-Detroit techno axis during his live set. They will be joined by the deep bass mutations of recent Fabric compiler Instra:mental, and Space Dimension Controller's electro-funk stylings. Rounding out the night's musical offerings will be 2-step influenced newcomer Midland and Phonica's behind-the-counter resident DJs. Tickets for Phonica Records with I:cube, Dexter and Instra:mental are available here on RA.
