  • Deep house producer John Roberts will release his first album, Glass Eights, this October on Dial Records. Just two years since his debut on vinyl, Roberts can already point to some impressive artistic achievements. Originally hailing from Cleveland, Ohio, he was signed to Dial after releasing just one single-sided 12-inch, making him the German imprint's only American artist. It's easy to hear why: Roberts' smooth, atmospheric style makes him a perfect fit among artists like Efdemin, Lawrence and Pantha Du Prince. Now based in Berlin, he has put out three more 12-inches on Dial and Laid, the last two of which both received glowing reviews here on RA. Glass Eights will feature all new tracks except for "Pruned," which first appeared on last summer's Mirror EP. To learn more about Roberts (and hear a fistful of his tracks to boot), check out RA's Breaking Through feature on him from last year. Tracklist 01. Lesser 02. Navy Blue 03. Ever Or Not 04.
