  • This August, Berghain and Panoramabar will each be sending two residents eastwards to take over popular Roppongi nightspot eleven over two consecutive nights. The Ostgut-Ton crew has done its share of globe-trotting this year, with branded parties in New York and Ibiza leading up to the event in Tokyo. The recently reopened eleven will see Panoramabar's most effusive twosome Tama Sumo and Prosumer bring a slice of their warm house sound, which never fails to get things jacking with an oldschool Chicago vibe. Saturday night is very much the flipside of the coin, with Marcel Dettmann demonstrating what is arguably the distilled essence of the Berghain sound: raw, hypnotic industrial techno. For his part, Shed will deliver one of his sub-bass heavy live sets. If his upcoming album The Traveler is any indication, you can expect innovative, breakbeat-flavored rhythms with plenty of atmosphere.
