The Canadian DJ and producer was hospitalized Friday night after falling victim to exhaustion in Washington DC.
Deadmau5 has canceled the next nine dates of his summer tour after collapsing mid-concert at the 9:30 club in Washington D.C.
According to reports, the Canadian performer, real name Joel Zimmerman, succumbed to exhaustion and vomiting during his Friday night gig and was rushed to the hospital by the club's medical staff. The affected portion of his tour includes dates in Montreal, Ibiza and the Summer Sonic festival in Tokyo and Osaka. A press release prepared by Zimmerman's management said the decision to cancel his shows came under "the strict advice of the doctors."
"Deadmau5 hopes to reschedule appearing in these cities in due course but in the meantime thanks all his fans for their understanding and support."
