  • British techno mainstay Anthony Child, better known as Surgeon, is set to play three Australian dates later this year. It has been over a decade since Child last came to Australian shores. Prior to that visit he was already a well-established name in techno, gaining praise for his leftfield approach to 4/4 production. The 2000s saw Child release a host of well-received singles, most of which retained the experimental edge he had been renowned for early in his career. He's no stranger to DJing, either. Over the years Child has crafted several formidable mixes, supplying Warp, RA and, most recently, Fabric with futuristic four-to-the-floor excursions. Child will kick his 2010 Australian tour off in October. He'll get things underway in Brisbane with a date at Step Inn, and then move on for a slot in Melbourne for The Likes Of You at Roxanne Parlour. The tour will conclude with a big room slot in Sydney going down at The Forum, courtesy of Index You can get your tickets to the Sydney leg right here at RA Tickets.
